Very expensive for what you get... No concrete pads... Poor sewage system - loose connections and smells... Acorns fell from the trees on top of the RV for 3 days... Only real advantage - close to downtown Savannah & nice hosts... Not recommended unless you show up without reservations and have Passport America...

This is a clean, gate protected campground about 20 minutes from downtown Savannah. Some sites have concrete pads, some do not. For the most part the sites are level. Don't expect to get sat reception, lots of beautiful trees. There is wifi at the office (store) and the store is a regular convenience store with a good selection of items. Only about 2-1/2 miles west of I95 making access easy. There is quite a bit of traffic on the highway next to the campground, so sites near the road can be a bit noisy. We sould stay there again.

This place is what every state/city Park should be. Huge sites (really huge!!, (I'd guess ours was at least 100 X 75) with plently of room between each. Very wooded with oaks etc. No Pines to speak of. Basic cable is included and works great. You dome will not work. Every site is a pull through, although a bit different than I have seen before. Works very well. Staff is super nice and helpful. Some 50A sites. They use a first come first served system for stie selection. There really isn't any bad sites, but there are more 30A sites than 50A sites. Their rules are very reasonable and what would be expected. If they had sewer it would be a 10. In my opinion, only Topsail exceeds this place as a state owned CG. Restrooms are fine, firewood is available at the hosts. It is a bit of a drive from 95 right through Savannah, but not a problem. I'll add some photos at a later date.
