We initially picked this place as an overnight stop when crossing over to the coast. It turns out that this place is one of the nicest we've been in! The access roads are all nice wide blacktop while the sites are concrete pads with concrete patios. There are shrubs and small trees planted at each site but they aren't that old yet so shade is minimal. The facility is immaculate and one of the best we've ever been in. We'd make it a point to spend more time here and explore Mount Lassen. Susanville is nestled where the Sierra Nevada's end and the Cascades begin so there is much to see and do in the area. The park itself is tucked behind other buildings and you might miss it if you're not paying attention. The only thing that I, and others, have noticed is that they advertise free wi-fi but so far it doesn't seem to be working. We stayed here in a 40' motorhome.
